Jean Carn's "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" Still Sounds As Visionary As It Did In 1978

Jean Carn performs her hit "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" at Soul Train

One of the more underrated efforts from the Gamble and Huff songwriting/production powerhouse is "Don't Let It Go To Your Head," a soulful blast of treat me right performed by Jean Carn. (Also worth mentioning is Brand Nubian's terrific 1998 reworking of the tune, which samples the original). Take a few minutes and let it get into your heart. Better still, ignore its titular advice and let it do just that.
