Matador Records dropped more details about the forthcoming, 69-minute-long double album by Kurt Vile. It’s called Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze, it’ll be out April 9th, and the first song to drop from it is the (nearly) eponymous “Wakin’ On A Pretty Day.” Accompanying the LP is a quick doc by Art Of The Steal/Last Days Here director Don Argott, which chronicles the creation of Steve Powers mural that will also serve as the album’s cover. It’s ambitious, heady stuff, but as the track above shows, Philly’s Constant Hitmaker is still all about mellow gold.
