And Now, Today’s GOOD NEWS: GPFO, Tony Danza Will Help You Finish Your Documentary

gpfoWe are not in Park City, Utah right now, which is to say we are not at Sundance. But the people from the Greater Philadelphia Film Office are there, and so is Tony Danza. Why? Because Tony Danza. And good ol’ Teach is there to help the GPFO announce the Derek Freese Film Foundation‘s “most ambitious plan for supporting documentary filmmakers to date.”

This Saturday, Danza and the GPFO will announce a $35,000 Documentary Finishing Fund that will be awarded biennially to an independent filmmaker. The award will “provide finishing funds for a feature length documentary film that has both a strong narrative and connection to Greater Philadelphia.” More details will be available on Saturday, but FREE MOVIE MONEY!

So there you have it: The world is not totally made of shit. Have you got some good news? If so, send it to tips[at]philebrity[dot]com with “GOOD MOTHERFUCKING NEWS!” in the subject header — we’d love to hear about it.
