Community Groups And Teachers Union Try To Halt School Closures, Say It’s All Corbett’s Fault

According to Newsworks, the Philadelphia Coalition Advocating for Public Schools, a coalition of community groups that includes the teacher’s union, is trying to temporarily halt the School District’s plan to close 37 schools. Newsworks says, “PCAPS members believe that the district’s budget woes are the result of a deliberate campaign by Governor Tom Corbett to shrink traditional public school districts and expand charter schools.” And to be fair, nearly everything is Corbett’s fault.
