The Philly Episode Of Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover Airs Tonight, And Here’s Where You Can Watch It

The fruits of Anthony Bourdain‘s Philadelphia labor will be seen on televisions across the land tonight as the Philly episode of The Layover airs at 9PM on the Travel Channel. And while Bourdain himself stopped at places such a Pho 75, Paesano’s, Stateside and more, you can hit some special locations tonight to watch the show. Among the places hosting viewing parties are:

>>> Johnny Brenda’s is teaming up with Philadelphia Distilling for a viewing party, where some funds will go to The Food Trust.

>>> Marc Vetri (who just missed out on some hot Hot Dog Water action above) spent some time with Bourdain, and both his Amis and Alla Spina will be hosting viewing parties starting at 9PM.

>>> Dirty Frank’s saw a visit from Bourdain when he was in town, and will be patiently waiting to see if they made the cut for the show at their own viewing party at 9PM.

>>> Han Dynasty‘s Han Chiang shared some drinks with Tony during filming, so the episode will be shown at the University City location of Han Dynasty.

>>> And the Pen and Pencil Club, the scene for the HDW incident above, will also be hosting a viewing party from 8 to 10PM tonight, where they will order pizza for everyone inside. It’s like a slumber party, and if you have too many drinks at the P&P, it just might turn into one.

And so, what was the point? Yes, he visited some good restaurants, but aside from that he presented a Philadelphia with tatooted inhabitants who live in dive bars. I’ tired of hearing a man with a clear gift for writint and observing sell himself out to the mass market television bone head world that thrives on crass behavior and four letter words.
