Area design nerds may have a new hospital of choice: The brand spankin’ new Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, which is itself a festival of pleasing lines. But the cherry on top might be the installation of this drawing by legendary minimalist Sol LeWitt. Previously displayed only at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, the drawing is on a 25-year loan to Einstein. Since 1969, LeWitt’s drawings have appeared all over the world. “Since art is a vehicle for the transmission of ideas through form, the reproduction of the form only reinforces the concept,” LeWitt once said of interpretive pieces like the wall drawings. “It is the idea that is being reproduced, [so] anyone who understands the work of art owns it.”

You can see Wall Drawing #972, for the next 25 years, on the first floor corridor at Einstein.
