Hey, feeling that holiday spirit yet? Here’s one for ya: During the first two quarters of 2012, Comcast, in conjunction with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, spent $75K lobbying against a new paid sick-leave bill, proposed in City Council by Bill Greenlee. Now, how much they spent isn’t that important — you yourself may have paid Comcast that amount last month alone — but that they’re lobbying against it at all and who they’re lobbying is. Who did they lobby? Pretty much all of City Council.
The bill is slated to be introduced in January.
