The original dirty rapper, Blowfly, has been entertaining crowds and putting out records since 1970, both parodying songs and making his own, while dropping F’s and P’s and C’s and D’s and everything in between. Though his previous life as Clarence Reid, a songwriter and producer who saw a bunch of success in the 70s, should give him a following of his own, it is not until he dons the suit and mask as Blowfly that people start lining up and really discussing him as a music pioneer. And you can hear all of the dirty words in person when Blowfly plays Ortlieb’s Lounge this Thursday with The Bootyholes and DJ Dan Kishbaugh, which also has the added bonus of giving you the chance to tell your friends you’re going to see Blowfly and the Bootyholes on Thursday.
