Garbage And Art Are A Match Made In Kickstarter Heaven

Billy Dufala, a man of many ideas we have loved over the past few years, is on a new mission. Much of that mission involves, as always, making art and having fun, but still, Billy is also focused on “educating people about sustainability issues and the waste stream.” Taking those three things and mashing them together is RAIR.

Recycled Artist in Residency, or RAIR, is “a young yet accomplished project located within a construction waste recycling center in Philadelphia … building new connections between art, sustainability, and industry by giving artists a vehicle to create awareness about the waste stream.” RAIR’s Kickstarter project looks to “open the residency program to applications from artists in the Spring 2013,” and doesn’t that just look like a great place to work?

There’s potential for some really great things to come out of this, and you can find out more information here.
