With all of the hubbub about Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, it’s understandable that some of the 3rd Party Candidates fall through the cracks. For example, we haven’t mentioned the Jill Stein/Cheri Honkala Green Party ticket since Honaka was announced at Stein’s running mate. Well, we did once, when Stein and Honkala were arrested for a Fannie Mae sit-in. And just like her run at becoming Philadelphia’s Sheriff, Honnkala’s VP run was also an entertaining one.
There was the Fannie Mae arrest and the debate arrest. But the real(istic) mission of the Green Party and other third party candidates is to bring alternative methods and ideas to the conversation. Honkala did her fair share of that, and we congratulate her and Jill Stein on a successful campaign, all things considered. But if suburban sidewalk graffiti is any indication, Gary Johnson is the real third-party superstar. He will also not be our next President.
