Much of SEPTA Will Resume Today, Except Regional Rail
SEPTA General Manager Joseph Casey just announced, with Mayor Nutter (who stopped to get his SEPTA hat from his city agency hat closet), that the Broad Street Line and Market Frankford Line and trolley lines will resume service at noon today. In addition, 80% of city bus routes (and 60% of suburban bus routes) will resume. Also resuming at noon are the Norristown High Speed Line, the Media/Sharon Hill Trolley Line, and the Media Trolley line (to Woodland Ave.).
As of now, SEPTA’s Regional Rail service will not resume until tomorrow morning at the earliest. Casey emphasized that the Regional Rail lines were not without damage, and crews will be out today surveying the damage and clearing trees off the tracks.
As services are restored they will be updated on SEPTA’s website, so keep looking over there.
