A little birdie tipped us off to the fact that Philly.com — which has long been quite possibly the worst-designed major news site in any major media market in the country — seems to be playing around with its long-in-coming new design, on the fly, in its (presumably not-much-trafficked) Health section. Take a look for yourself, but, uh, if this is it… keep working, guys.

UPDATE: Since this post went up, we’ve heard from several folks in the Philly.com Thunderdome who indicate to us that, no, this is not the long-promised redesign, which is, we are told, in the pipeline. And in fact, said to be, at the very least, not offensive to eyeballs or other living things in the way that Philly.com is now. Instead, the Health page displayed above just looks like that because who the fuck knows why. So much is dark in the black hole of Philly.com design. We stand corrected-ish.
