Take A Picture On Philly Photo Day And It Could End Up On A Billboard Or A Bus

This year’s edition of Philly Photo Day, the annual day where the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center asks people to take one picture of something in the city and send it their way, is taking place October 26th. As with every other year, all of the pictures submitted will be printed and put on display at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center starting December 6th. But this year, unlike other years, select photos will be chosen to be billboards and on the sides of buses and trains for a whole month. According to the press release, “PPAC will partner with Clear Channel to place 40 Philly Photo Day pictures on billboards throughout the city. PPAC will also place 200 pictures on Septa buses and trains, creating a roving public exhibition of the work.” Submissions can be uploaded at the PPAC website between October 26th and 30th, and the full rules can be found over here.
