Teacher In Port Richmond Who Mocked Child For Wearing Romney Shirt Unknowingly Awakens The Philadelphia Tea Party Patriots
Last week, when a teacher at Charles Carroll High School openly chastised a 16-year-old for wearing a Romney/Ryan shirt on dress down day (which, let us be clear here, is shitty and wrong in so many different ways), little did she know she would arouse the slumbering beast from the deep, The Philadelphia Tea Party Patriots.
This morning, the PTPP gathered outside the school with American flags, loudly recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang “God Bless America.” They recited the Pledge of Allegiance because the PTPP was outraged that the pledge is, “NEVER recited” at the school. So they recited it … off of a handout … that also had a side-by-side translation of the pledge. It’s like one of those copies of Hamlet where the play is on the left page but what it means in real English is on the right. In all, the rally was less than eventful, but we probably haven’t heard the last of this story (and sadly, we definitely haven’t heard the last from PTPP).
