The City Receives Anti-Violence Grants From The Dept. Of Justice
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, or OJJDP, has awarded the City of Philadelphia two grants to try to help curb violence, according to Philadelphia Weekly.
One of the grants is in the form of an invitation into the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention, and along with that comes a planning grant of $20,000. On top of that, the city has also received a $1.5 million grant to fund Philadelphia CeaseFire, which has been out of funds since the spring.
