Captain Freeshit: Win A Pair Of Tickets To See The Afghan Whigs At The Electric Factory Tomorrow Night!
The Greg Dulli-fronted Afghan Whigs were a little bit left of the grunge scene on Sub Pop in the early 90s, and while label-mates Nirvana were basking (miserably) in glory, Dulli and the Whigs churned out some great records, first out of Seattle and then on major labels. After Big Top Halloween , Up in It, and Congregation; the band released the album that would maintain their legacy to this day: Gentlemen. Two more albums were released, and then Dulli decided he’d rather add a bit of the soul singer vibe to the alt-rock he loved with The Twilight Singers. But now, 11 years after their split, the Afghan Whigs are reunited and on a full tour, playing The Electric Factory tomorrow night with School of Seven Bells. And you know what, we’d like you to go.
