Buzz Bissinger On Lance Armstrong: “If He Doped, He Was Leveling The Playing Field”
The strange moral dissolution of Buzz Bissinger continues with this really pretty strange piece for Newsweek/The Daily Beast. In a wild defense of Lance Armstrong that trips over itself simultaneously celebrating that he got an exclusive with the defrocked cyclist and equivocating all over the place on the man’s behalf (see headline), Bissinger curls his tongue five ways to Sunday, piling it on thick. (Especially after the hay he made on another big sports ethics story recently.) We can’t say it’s not interesting to witness, but we also can’t say that this has anything, anything to do at all, really, with Lance Armstrong.
