Today in cool boat-related news: The Independence Seaport Museum just announced that they’ll be launching the Old City Seaport Festival this year from October 5th-7th. It should be a weekend of maritime-related fun, food, and good ol’ family bonding. Clear skies, fancy boats, can’t lose.

Here’s what the festival schedule looks like:

October 5
>>>>Watch the Parade of Boats from Penn’s Landing as they arrive up the Delaware River from 5-7 PM. The Seaport Museum’s 2nd floor deck will be the prime viewing location.

Saturday, October 6
>>>Festival gates open at 10 AM
>>>Tall Ships open for deck tours 10 AM-4 PM
>>>Music, beer garden, food, craft vendors, land and in-water activities and river tours throughout the day
>>>Sunset river tours depart at 4:30 PM – These tickets will be separate from event passes.

Sunday, October 7
>>>Festival gates open at 10 AM
>>>Tall Ships open for deck tours 10 AM-4 PM
>>>Music, beer garden, food, craft vendors, land and in-water activities and river tours throughout the day
>>>Pirate Battle river tours depart at 4:30 PM
>>>Pirate Battle begins at 5 PM
