This Winter: Snowpocalypse Now?

Batten down the hatches (maybe): Accuweather.com is predicting a fairly gnarly winter for Philadelphia. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean much; last year, they had us convinced reports of “stormy and cold” weather would, in fact, mean both of those things, and that’s not exactly how Winter 2011-12 turned out, is it?

At any rate, Accuweather claims “above normal” (is that the scientific term?) amounts of snow are headed our way this year, and according to the weather service, a “normal” amount would be just short of two feet. So, really, who knows. But if you’re thinking about investing in that snowplow, maybe just hold off for a few months.
