Philadelphia Found Footage Festival For Anyone Who Loves Low-Budget Home Filmmaking Or Is Stuck In a ’90s Time Warp
The Found Footage Festival is returning to Philadelphia, and this year, it’s gonna be a doozy. On Wednesday, September 5th, starting at 7 PM, head to Johnny Brenda’s for what is sure to be the strangest, most wonderfully off-putting, hairspray-and-Cosby-sweater-filled night of the year. (Unless you went to Comedy Bang! Bang! live, probably.) The event’s “curators,” Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher, will be screening recently discovered clips such as a “How To Train Your Ferret” instructional video from 1996, The Sexy Treadmill Workout, and never-before-seen Kenny “K-Strass” Strasser TV station pranks. Tickets for the event are $12, and can be purchased through the Found Footage Festival’s website and Johnny Brenda’s website. Sheet music is temporary, but that VHS tape of you singing cat sounds while reading off of it is forever.
