Just to remind us all how little money we have in the grand scheme of money, an 1873-CC “No Arrows” Liberty Seated dime was auctioned off at Stack’s Bowers Galleries last week for a total of $1.84 million after buyer’s fees.

So next time you dump some change into a cup on your dresser, or maybe even drop a dime on the ground and keep walking, remember that in 140 years, maybe that dime could be worth 16,000,000 dimes. Probably not, but once the governments of the world fall, and everything gets real Road Warrior out there, who knows.
