Federal Judge Releases 56-Page Opinion Reaffirming That Feeding The Homeless Is A-Ok

Judge William Yohn originally blocked the Homeless feeding ban about a month ago, but he has now released a 56-page opinion saying, among other things, “The governmental and private programs that minister to needy Philadelphians are largely overwhelmed and clearly insufficient to meet all their needs … To impede plaintiffs’ efforts can only harm the public interest.” According to the Inquirer, the Nutter administration filed notice of appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

“The governmental and private programs that minister to needy Philadelphians are largely overwhelmed and clearly insufficient to meet all their needs … To impede plaintiffs’ efforts can only harm the public interest.”

    Says someone not from Philadelphia.

Cute that he said “needy Philadelphians” when a huge percentage of the homeless in this city aren’t even from Philly.  They come here from all over because the word is out how well we take care of the homeless.

Kind of semi-related but does anyone know why when New York City attacks crime & QOL issues the ACLU does nothing (think Stop & Frisk), when Philly does it the ACLU goes bananas.
