Housekeeping: Come Fly With Us b/w Happy Intern Appreciation Day!
Just when we thought we might be done with interns forever, along came these two. Sophy Ziss and Maddy Court have been our summer interns, and we couldn’t have asked for better ones. Bright, hard-working and fun, Sophy and Maddy showed us that the Lena Dunham generation is far from what the teevee makes it out to be. Yesterday, we cut out early for an Intern Appreciation Day of sorts (The Happy Show at ICA, Squareburgers, putt-putt at Franklin Square, Maddy crushed it), as summer intern season draws to a close. But we did want to pause and say thanks to the both of them. For any prospective employers googling either Maddy or Sophy a year or two down the line, let us tell you in no uncertain terms: Hire them. They were great whether working independently or on assignment, had excellent research and writing skills, and were generally fun, sweet people to be around. Hire them!
As for us, well, we’re still here. And as it happens, we’re looking for fall interns (find out more here); and we’re also looking for a new Ad Sales Rep/Events Coordinator, a (generous) commission-only-based job that requires a self-starter and has plenty of room for growth.
