Over on frequent Philebs contributor Christopher Sawyer‘s site Philadelinquency, he’s taken a look at the whole Ori Feibush/Point Breeze/Gentrification thing we talked about a while ago. Here’s the quick summary: Ori Feibush (developer, owner of OCF Realty, and runner of NakedPhilly.com) wants to gentrify Point Breeze. People in Point Breeze don’t want gentrification and think Feibush is racist and have done everything in their power (torpedoed zoning votes, left dead dogs on his steps) to dissuade him. Feibush wants to develop this empty lot on the corner of Titan Street and Point Breeze Avenue. The Russian people who sold him the land are now getting in his way, as is the zoning of the city of Philadelphia, as is a man who claims rights to the land though his family hasn’t owned it or paid for it in over 80 years. And now, many of the people in Feibush’s way are just asking for some dollars before they get out of the way.

Got it? It’s a lot to wrap your head around, but Philadelinquency’s got a pretty solid handle on it.
