Daniel Denvir’s Words And Zoe Strauss’ Images Are A Dream Team
Over in the teeny-tiny Delco borough of Millbourne, the demographic is shifting. The borough (sandwiched between Upper Darby and Cobbs Creek Park) is less than a tenth of a square mile and is experiencing a massive influx of immigrants from Africa and Asia (the 1,159 strong population is now 56% Asian). In fact, that the typically white Republican borough council is now made up of, “two Bangladeshis, one Punjabi Sikh, one Keralite Indian and one white Democrat.” City Paper‘s Daniel Denvir investigated the borough, talking to new residents and old; looking at the problems facing all of them.
