From The Archives Of Maury Z. Levy: The Muhammad Ali Interview
Back in 1975, Philadelphia Magazine editorial director Maury Z. Levy (who we would still like to make a deal with) received a phone call from Muhammad Ali‘s people. Ali had just lost to Joe Frazier and along with the victory came the media coverage. Ali had no one to talk to, so he called Maury Levy, based on a story he had written about Derek Sanderson.
Levy did a profile on Ali for Philly Mag, and in the year he is set to receive the Liberty Medal, his interview with Levy has resurfaced as Levy goes through his own archives.
