Three To Four Blocks Evacuated In The Great G-Ho Flood Of 2012
A water-main break (not really a flood, we know) last night caused three to four blocks of residents around 21st and Bainbridge to be evacuated, according to the Inquirer. After nearly two feet of water rushed into the streets around 9PM, police were using boats to evacuate residents, which we’re guessing is not how many people imagined spending their Sunday night. Water pressure problems were reported in the area, we’re assuming mainly from people who didn’t get to go on a cool late-night boat ride with the police down their street.
And since it is, in fact, 2012: People took to Twitter to post pictures, video, and thoughts of the #SouthPhillyFlood.
