Film Sweat: Gotta Get Down On Friday

RECOMMENDED: It’s Friday the 13th. It only happens, at most, three times a year. And yes, this is the third time this year already, but that’s no reason you shouldn’t sit back, relax, and throw on that one movie that still scares you shitless. Some ideas? Well the original Friday the 13th can surely be found on TV somewhere, but for things more in your control, here’s some recommendations from Netflix Instant: teen-vampires, but not the corny kind in the original Let The Right One In; Takashi Miike‘s fantastic tale of be careful what you wish for, Audition; the self-proclaimed Best Worst Movie, Troll 2; and in keeping with the theme, Friday the 13th Part 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7.

NEW IN THEATERS: Ice Age 4, in which somehow the world is still ending; Dark Horse, where a rather rotund fella falls in love with Selma Blair at the newly-reopened Ritz at the Bourse; festival darling Beasts of the Southern Wild at the Ritz Five; and go ahead and bum yourself out in the brand new A/C at the Ritz Bourse as Michelle Williams‘ life undoubtedly falls apart in Take This Waltz.
