The 2012 WHYY Connections Festival Has Got Doo Wop, Yo La Tengo
Let the year of festivals continue: The 2012 WHYY Connections Festival has been announced, and it features (like last year) film, music, and family events from September 6th to September 9th. This year’s big film screening will be that whole Barnes film they put together. And the music? Oh the music.
The music portion of the fest will feature two concerts: Yo La Tengo, Frank Turner, Maps & Atlases, and more on September 8th, and the 7th Annual Doo Wop Festival on the 9th. The Doo Wop fest features the legendary Charlie Gracie, Fred Paris & The Five Satins, The Del Satins, Cornerstone, The Lar-kings, Quiet Storm, and Neighbors Complaint. It all goes down around Penn’s Landing, and as we said before … it’s free.
