Aging White Man Nobody In Philadelphia Knows Supports, Does Not Support Health Care Ruling

corbettWith this morning’s landmark decision by the Supreme Court on so-called “Obamacare,” many may be wondering what our own Governor Tom Corbett thinks of this. The answer? He is forgainst it.

According to the Daily News‘ Philly Clout, Corbett has both spoken against the healthcare plan and pledged to, “implement the legislation wisely, adding that it ‘offers great opportunity to extend coverage to thousands more people throughout Pennsylvania.’”

So he originally challenged the law in Federal Court before he was Gov, but later said he would, “work to control the cost of health care if the legislation was upheld by the courts.” That sounds like he is evolving, it sounds like compromise, it sounds like adaptation. It sounds like he is, as an elected official, taking the laws as they are made, whether he disapproves of them or not, and making sure they work the best they can for his constituents. WHAT HAS HE DONE WITH THE REAL TOM CORBETT? WHO IS THIS IMPOSTOR? BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!

To be contrarian to “progressive values,” I was surprised and disappointed with today’s ruling. Often, I agree with conservatives but for different reasons.

I think it is wrong to force citizens to purchase “commercial products” and not make it a choice. Yes, you are bound by law to purchase auto insurance but then you don’t have to own a vehicle… ie no car insurance.

You shouldn’t have to purchase medical insurance from a company whose sole purpose is profit with a little coverage thrown in to justify the obscene rip-off they are involved in.

Pres. Obama sold us out with a Republican/Corporate plan instead of instituting a single-payer option.

“Pres. Obama sold us out with a Republican/Corporate plan…”
As much as some of us would like to believe that Republicans are the only corporate shills in Congress, I offer you the red pill (a.k.a. the hard bitter truth):

Yeah, unfortunately you’re right about the Dems also being corporate shills.
