Those People Rubbing You Down At The Airport May Have Paid Money To Be Able To Do That … Technically

Hey, this should make you feel good: If you flew out of PHL in the last few months and were frisked by some TSA agents, those friskers may not have actually been good enough at their job to keep it, they just had some extra cash. According to USA Today, the TSA has recommended firing seven employees at PHL on charges of bribery.

You see, the TSA agents have to pass annual proficiency exams to prove when they rub on you they actually know what they’re doing, other than rubbing on you. But, as it turns out, the dude whose job it is to grade these exams was taking cash in exchange for passing grades. So if you think about it, some people paid cash for the right to be able to legally touch you in ways that would otherwise be illegal. Add that to the fact that we’re still convinced those full body scanners are the same machine that screwed Jeff Goldblum so royally in The Fly, and you’re just better off taking a bus.

Well, I mean, if you can find me a bus to the UK or Asia, sure that’s a viable option.
