As we brace for this week’s heat wave, we present the above clip to provide some perspective — not about heat waves, mind you, just about, you know, hair and humidity. And while it’s true that the 1988 heat wave here in Philly was not as brutal as the 1995 one that had old folks dropping like flies nationwide, it was very rough. Especially if you had curly hair.
