ACT UP Ran Out Of Things To Do; Crashed A High School Graduation

ACT UP is at it again: The Philadelphia chapter of the AIDS activist group, which has been campaigning for nearly three years to force the City into increasing housing for people with AIDS, showed up at a local political event to get their message across. But unlike the last time, when they attended Nutter’s budget address to City Council, the group went full-throttle and announced themselves last night during Obama’s speech to recent graduates of the Science Leadership Academy Charter School. Instead of shouldering their way in and bullying the guy in person, ACT UP lurked across the street and dropped a fairly prominent banner over the side of a parking garage. Because everyone knows, that’s how you get someone’s attention.
