We totally acknowledge that the executive director of Seth Williams‘ campaign emailing his office’s employees, on their city emailed addresses, to urge them to attend his fundraiser was not a good look. At all. But you know what else isn’t a good look? Calling the fundraiser “Seth In The City,” (although that is solid pun-manship) and having the invitation say, “Ladies, Dress like a star & put on your sexiest shoes.” It’s weird and kind of gross and a perfect example of how politically-minded people are operating on a different brainwave than the rest of us. This isn’t the party we signed up for either.
