Over the least few months, it seems like we’ve received word of 100 different festivals going down in the next year. It’s like Oprah came around was was like, “You get a festival! You get a festival! And you get a festival! And you get a festival!”

But while those fests are all set and organized, the 2012 DesignPhiladelphia Festival needs your help. From October 10 – 14, the festival will, “[unite] the Philadelphia region’s dynamic creative community, bringing together individuals and organizations from every design discipline.” Over the coming weeks, DesignPhiladelphia will be launching a new site for volunteer sign-up, fest information, and other stuff you need. But for now, they are asking you to think … hard, and come up with ideas for some events you want to host for the festival. You can create a workshop, an exhibition, a lecture, or basically anything else, and register it here. This is your chance to pull out that wacky idea you’ve had for a while and make it happen. Don’t blow it.
