We are beginning to wonder if the City of Philadelphia and various organizations within it have any sensitivity to the fact that, well, The Roots need at least a few hours a day to sleep. Just over the transom: A request for coverage tomorrow morning at The Independence Visitor Center, 6th and Market Streets, where ?uestlove and Black Thought will help to reveal Wawa Welcome America!‘s Taste of Philadelphia Weekend Culinary and Entertainment Lineup. If you’re thinking, wait, they already announced who was playing and it’s Hall & Jonas, you are correct. But there is more! A list of food trucks! A re-announcement of another announcement about the Roots mural project! And apparently more acts playing during Welcome America! And did we mention fireworks? At any rate, we do not see why ?uest and Tariq need to be around for this. They just worked overtime this weekend, for Pete’s sake.
