Get Well Soon, Stinking Lizaveta’s Cheshire Agusta!
Add Cheshire Agusta (pictured) to the ever-growing list of Philadelphians who’ve been hit-and-ran-upon while minding their own business, riding their bikes. (We fear that one day this list may include us all.) Cheshire, of course, is the drummer in Stinking Lizaveta, a Philly punk rock institution if ever there was one. A few days ago, Cheshire was struck down on her bike by a passing motorist, who was then somehow allowed to leave the scene; and if the looks of the bike are anything to go by, it was a pretty grisly wreck. Cheshire is due for surgery today for a fractured tibia, and seems to be in good spirits and looking forward to getting to the rehab phase of her injury as quickly as possible. We here at Philebs would like to send our fondest get-well wishes to Cheshire and remind anyone on a bike out there to be careful and use our handy rule: When walking or bicycling in Philadelphia, it’s always best to assume that anyone driving a motor vehicle is a crazy dick with anger issues. Move accordingly.
