Aging White Man No One In Philadelphia Knows Is Still Messing With Education, Upper Darby Is Feeling The Brunt Of It
That video you see above (and the petition it supports) has been passed around by Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Hunter Pence, Ryan Howard, Judy Blume and more. Gov. Tom Corbett‘s deep cuts into public education have caused damage state-wide, but in Upper Darby, in order to stay afloat, the arts may have to be cut. Facing the budget they have right now, the district is faced with the need to eliminate art, physical education, music, and library science classes. But the good people at Save UD Arts are trying their best to stop the damage from being done. They’ve started a petition, and plan on heading to Harrisburg on June 6th to give Corbett a piece of their mind. To support the Save UD Arts campaign, sign the petition here and read more about getting involved here.
