At around 10:30 this morning, Jay-Z will be joining Mayor Michael Nutter to announce the details of the Budweiser Made in America Festival. We already know Jay-Z will be headlining, and we’re to expect performers of all genre. Barring any setbacks, we’ll be live tweeting the lineup announcement and posting about it later today. But in the meantime, here’s a bit of what we expect and do not expect to see at this festival.
What we do not expect: “Ladies and Gentlemen, your headliner, the Goo Goo Dolls,” Hall and Joats, anyone who may or may not be beefing with Jay-Z (includes Lil’ Wayne, Eminem, Beanie Sigel, Jay Pharaoh from SNL, DMX, Damon Dash, 50 Cent, any past member of Oasis, Nas, and thankfully Chris Brown), Taylor Swift (as a favor to Kanye), and any band with guitars that is actually interesting.
What we do expect: Yankee hats, An appearance from Kanye West (whether it be announced or not), an appearance from Chris Martin, the chance to meet Rick Rubin, Animal Collective (Jay’s supposedly a fan), Aziz Ansari, and about 9 renditions of “N****s In Paris.”
Keep an eye right here and over here for more information.
