Photographer Jeffrey Stockbridge has been looking at Kensington Avenue, taking photographs and talking to residents, since 2008. His images (and stories) provide an in depth look into a part of life in Philadelphia we often try to avoid thinking about. Looking not only at the addicts and prostitutes themselves, but also what drove them to that life and their desire to get out, Stockbridge gives a behind the curtain point of view many of us would never experience on our own.
