The big news in big money transactions around these parts today is that Sunoco is merging with Energy Transfer Partners. We know, we know, it means nothing to you… unless you consider the fate of the Sunoco refineries down off the super weird part of 76 in South Philly that, for some reason, only ever makes us think of the movie Streets Of Fire. At any rate, the merger, at the moment at least, doesn’t seem to mean anything specific for those refineries, as Sunoco was planning to sell them off to another refining business anyway — a plan that will most likely stay in place.
