Just Drop Us Off For The Weekend At Greg’s Place/Port Richmond Books

We’ve been hearing about this place for years, but this video seals the deal: We’d like to be locked in at Greg’s for no less than 24 hours. As soon as possible.

Went for the first time a few months ago. It’s wonderful. As soon as you walk in you are hit with the smell of old books. Prices vary because they have some good early editions. Call ahead first though because they don’t always keep regular hours.  Highly recommended.

The shop is awesome and Greg is the man. A local business well-deserving of everyone’s support.

If they’ve put out their sign on the street or in the bed of a truck parked in front, they’re open.

A couple of months ago, purchased a dictionary published in Great Britain during the 30′s with lots of great illustrations and very good definitions plus short side-bars. The cloth covering the spine had ripped but the binding/glue was still in excellent shape. Just used a couple of strips of clear tape to stop further damage.

    Think I paid $3 or $4.

Also, everytime I go there to browse, they offer me a beer or a shot of whiskey. Nice people.
