It looks like a done deal: Philanthropists Lewis Katz and H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest, along with a bunch of other rich white dudes, are stepping in as the newest owners of what was, up until a moment ago, Philadelphia Media Network. The price for such a fate: $55M purchase price, plus another $10M in investment. Unbelievably, the new owners are saying that CEO Greg Osberg will stay, but this cannot possibly be a permanent decision, unless a mere job truly is Osberg’s filthy lucre for spreading his foul bullshit all over this sale like white on rice. But really. Good luck, guys. You’ve got your work cut out for you.
