As a kind of memorial to the passing of Monkee Davy Jones last week, Antenna TV (ask your friends who have “ghetto cable” what this is) aired a marathon of old episode of The Monkees. Among them? “Some Like It Lukewarm,” the plot of which is as follows:
The Monkees want to enter the KXIW Rockathon contest to win $500, only to find out contest manager Jerry ‘The Geator with the Heator’ Blavat only allows mixed groups. Davy is chosen to dress up in drag.
And lo, it was sublime.
