UPDATE: 18 Catholic Schools Have Won Appeal To Stay Open
In what was originally reported as a nearly impossible outcome, four (now 18, see below) local Catholic schools that were scheduled for closing have won their appeals to stay open. The full results aren’t supposed to come out until tomorrow, but Newsworks is reporting, that Holy Trinity in Morrisville, St. Ephrem in Bensalem, St. Francis de Sales in Aston, and St. Laurentius in Fishtown have successfully appealed their closing. We’ll have more on this as the results of more appeals are released.
UPDATE: The Inquirer is reporting 18 of the 24 schools that appealed are going to stay open. There is no word yet on any of the High Schools on the chopping block.
