Last year, when the whole Occupy thing was in full swing, retired Philadelphia Police Captain Ray Lewis (above) was arrested at Occupy Wall Street, and we quietly wondered what the higher-ups at the PPD thought of this, and wondered if they could (and would) do anything about it, if they so chose. As it turns out, they did not like it, and told Lewis to stop; which Lewis ignored. Also, the Fraternal Order of Police‘s grievance committee is investigating the matter, and if the outcome is negative for Lewis, he could lose his FOP membership and life insurance.
The Associated Press caught up with Lewis at a rally outside Comcast HQ yesterday (as reported in The Washington Post) , where Lewis said, “I have not violated any law … I spent my entire career devoted to law enforcement, and I was proud of that.”
Sure, Lewis is rocking that Police uni pretty hard, but he looks more like a leathered-up Karl Lagerfeld than a police captain, so what’s the big deal?
