This Evening: Moulded to Please

>>>Ah, so THIS is why Bob Mould refused to participate in last year’s Hüsker Dü biog, penned by music scribe Andrew Earles: He’s touring the story of his life. The Dü’s guitarist/vocalist stops by World Cafe Live for See A Little Light: An Evening of Reading and Music, wherein he splices readings from his new autobiography, co-written with Our Band Could Be Your Life‘s Michael Azerrad, into a series of solo acoustic sets. We’re not sure of the thematic arch, but anything resembling a live VH1 Storytellers from the god of noise rock cannot fail to rub us the right way — whether or not a pointed rendition of “Never Talking To You Again” makes the cut.

>>>Last-minute show announcement: “Art-punk” four piece Far Out Fangtooth (who just released their debut full-length album, Pure & Disinterested) play with Royal Baths at Kung Fu tonight.

>>>Doogie Horner’s Ministry of Secret Jokes returns for their monthly comedy showcase, with friends David James, Joe Mayo, Andrew Jeffrey Wright and Rose of Comedy Dreamz, a drummer, and something called a Pander Bear.

>>>Celebrate the grand opening of PhillyCAM, our very first public access station, live from the studio. Featuring music from Bob Miles Trio.

>>>If you missed Monday’s screening and (double) Q&A with director Jon Foy at the Troc, the whole Resurrect Dead package is coming to Bryn Mawr Film Institute in full cryptic form.
