Bryn Mawr Film Institute Introduces “The Late Show” Cult Film Series

The Bryn Mawr Film Institute (824 West Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA) is starting a late night, cult film series called “The Late Show.” Starting January 20th, with a screening of the dreadfully amazing The Room (seriously, you can’t begin to understand the idea of so-bad-it’s-good until you’ve seen this film), every Friday night at 11:30PM the BMFI will be showing a new, “beautiful, bizarre, and woefully unseen” film for only $7.

The schedule is as follows:
The Room · January 20
Giorgio Moroder Presents Metropolis · February 3
House · February 17
Dogtooth · March 16
Head · March 30

In addition, BMFI is accepting suggestions for films to show during the spring series of “The Late Show.” You can email your film suggestion, along with your rationale, to VTemple[at]BrynMawrFilm[dot]org by January 15 and see if the film is chosen.

I tried to convince the Troc they should show The Room for Movie Monday but they have yet to take my advice, glad to see Bryn Mawr will be screening it. Don’t miss it people, it’s amazing in its awful-ness.

I’m emailing them RIGHT NOW to tell them to show the Louis C.K.-penned and -directed Pootie Tang.
