And Now, This Week’s First Person Arts Storyslam Winner: “And I Punched Him In The Side Of The Head”
Don’t mess with Martha, last night’s First Person Arts “After Hours” StorySlam winner. She is from Philly after all. Check out the video of her winning story below. Since this is her second Slam win in a row, and she’s already scheduled to compete in this year’s Fall Grand Slam, last night’s runner up Nathan will join her in vying for the title of “Best Storyteller in Philadelphia” on November 10.
First Person StorySlams take place every second Monday at World Cafe Live and fourth Tuesday at L’Etage. The next Slam is Monday, September 12. The theme is “Back to School.”
