Now, we know this will sound rich coming from a site that’s put on an all-Belle & Sebastian night once a year for the last seven years, but c’mon, Irish Pol: All Pearl Jam? All night? Every Monday? And encouraging people to wear Pearl Jam gear? You guys must really, really hate getting laid.

    rk…I agree…this thread has been all over the place. I have enjoyed it. Made some new friends, and maybe even enemies. None the less, enjoyed it. See you all at the Irish Pol for Pearl Jam night. If you don’t like Pearl Jam, then I won’t see you. No biggie.

    Wow, so Pearl Jam really have a Dead/Phish thing going on now, yeah? As in their fans are really into collecting recordings of their live shows, possibly more than the studio albums themselves? That’s what I’m gathering here.

    pearl jam bootlegs are a big deal in their fan world. i don’t get why…the concert @ the spectrum I went to (the things we do for love…) was pretty damn bad. Not in the i don’t like them so it’s bad, but in the jesus christ, not every song needs a guitar solo that’s basically just Guile’s Sonic Boom from Street Fighter made into a 2 minute riff type of bad.

    also, social distortion opened for them and kicked ass. speaking of them, i’d go to a monday night at an irish bar if it was all social D. And only partly because the aged ex-punks who are now completely suburbanized are absolutely mesmerizing to watch.
